Coastin' and Beachin'

For my birthday Tim and I took a much needed break from the city and hit the VA Beach for an extended weekend. Sometimes being secluded from the hustle and bustle of the city makes you feel 100% refreshed (or close). Tim's cousin is more than welcoming for allowing us to stay at her beautiful home on the Chesapeake Bay! They seriously have ALL of the toys you could think of! We both tried paddle boarding for the first time. I loved it, although I was pretty nervous to fall in the Bay... there are jellyfish swarming everywhere in that salt water!
Last Christmas we received season passes to Busch Gardens for a gift so of course we had to put those bad boys to use! Like always, we had so much fun! I sort of turn into a 12 year old little girl ha.
I have a feeling that I will traveling down many times this summer!

Sitting In A Tree,

My best friend Nikki has found her ONE and is getting married!! She is tying the knot, getting hitched, taking the plunge, dropping anchor, putting a ring on it, however you might express it... and I could not be any happier for her and Perry! Nikki and I are not only best friends, we go way back to the Pre-K years. So one could say we know each other pretty dang well. After Perry returned to Oregon from studying abroad in China, he started working at PGE as Nikki's teammate. They were partners in crime together spreading the love of Energy Efficiency. I was lucky enough to get to know Perry pretty well also as the three of us roomed together for a summer in Portland. We were the three amigos hopping around Portland making heaps of memories that summer. They are truly great together and I am so glad that they were able to find each other in this crazy world!
